@UnityUSA is it possible to swap an RV-25 motor to an RV-46? My RV-46 motor is sluggish and doing 50 FPM. I have an RV-25 just sitting around collecting dust and the motor in it is good.

Maybe. If they are the same vintage we used sameish motors for RV25 and RV46.

We had different generations of motors throughout the life of the RV line and to my understanding those motors do not switch between each other, but the fit of the motor for RV25 and 46 built at the same time would be the same.

The other issue is 25 & 26 motors rotate faster than 45 and 46 motors. This was done to meet FPM standard and since there were twice as many flashes in the 45 and 46 the motor needed to be slower.

If you have 100fpm with the RV25 it will mean that the motor give you 50rpm to the lamphead and that should mean that you will have 200fpm with RV46 because it has four sealed beams instead of two as in the RV25.
