Our Fire Department recently purchased a 1997 Rescue truck with only 5,000 miles. We have been working on it and just recently placed it into service. The controller is a MPC01 with 2 BL627 amplifiers, 2 BL188, 1 ISP 94 and 1 BL405. We added another ISP94 changed the program to read it. Now when all of the lights are on the 4 halogen scene lights that are connected to the BL405A flash. Everything else works as it should. We disconnect the new ISP 94 and they work properly.

Any suggestions?

It’s been awhile since I programmed one of these but I believe each component has an “address” identifying what each thing is to the controller so that each component pickup up the appropriate bits of data from the data stream. Is it possible the strobe pack and bl405 are addressed the same?

I don’t have time to dig into the software right now, but that maybe a start aside from checking all your wiring verifying it’s all wired properly n not shorting anywhere.

Good luck

We didn’t add the new ISP94 to the program originally and thought that could be the problem. Added it to the list and it still causes the problem. Thinking at this point it is a wiring issue maybe a bad ground. Thanks for the reply.

Gotcha. Check all that wiring and make sure your data lines aren’t backwards.

Might also be worth recheckin the programming. You put something in not quite correctly and it does funny things.

Good luck,

So after spending about 10 hours checking wires realized that the 2nd ISP94 had the dip switch set for single use. Changed the second one and everything works.
Thanks for the reply.
