MTA Bridges and Tunnels Officer Thomas Choi (NY)

MTA Bridges and Tunnels Officer Thomas Choi died today (Dec 29, 2014) as a result of on duty injuries received on the morning of October 20, 2013. Officer Choi was reopening the Brooklyn-bound lower roadway of the bridge, which spans Staten Island and Brooklyn, when a car struck and critically wounded him. He never regained consciousness.
