My 13 PI Sedan POV work in progress

New yes, lurking for years but I never got around to spending much time here, rolling the intro into this post & appreciate all the lookers.

I'm declaring myself as the installer even though the car had the Ions and Vertex when I got it (all blue), because someone cut stuff everywhere removing a console, lightbar, and unknown deck/headliner equipment. The lightbar came from my old panther platform: RX2700 Prizm 1st gen although I updated the blue corners to the Prizm II LED's behind the regular reflectors, I also swapped a 12 LED module on the back for the 8. I replaced 2 blue ions with 2 reds, put a pair of Sound Off Undercovers in the tails, and the directional is 2 SO 4 ultra lights in AW, gutted and running off a ShoMe 8 output rotary 11.1025 (?). The directional is really just a bandaid as I have a FedSig Solaris ILS to put there, and I don't believe there will be room or a need for another directional. As mentioned, a work in progress: putting in a civi console, taking the SO out of the tails and using twist lock vertex in white if the holes aren't too beat up, and a pair of Tomar Rect 14 split r/b for the LP. The car is a 13 with the ecoboost 360 hp motor and only had 700 miles when it was shipped here from Minneapolis in Feb 2015. Now looking at 26k sadly. Having read a few similar posts, I'm right off going to say I never had much luck changing patterns on this bar. I would rather it flash solid on both sides but it doesn't. Eventually I might repopulate it with Prizm II if I find a good deal as its not the brightest during the daylight, but it has been solid since purchased new from MHQ in maybe 2010.

A short video of the car here, 1st YouTube video - sorry.

Thanks again for looking, hope to enjoy my time spent here and profit from the wealth of knowledge!

I wonder why Boyer Trucks was selling this? Must have been damaged or something? The Factory blue isn't normal colors for MN.

This is a question which has perplexed me since I got the car. Here is my build sheet for anyone who knows how to interpret all the codes:Build sheet, at the end it says "Company Car", it had the wrap package from the Ford brochures #007 or #997, as I said 700 miles on the odo, the plastic rails on the roof indicate it probably sat somewhere for a long time, but other than the roof having been painted and the cable hole filled no paint work & it hasn't ever smelled like anyone died in there.

Yes I did purchase an ESP premium care to 2020/96k. Since I essentially got a 13 SHO w/PP with 700 miles for 18,9 plus shipping and all the other stuff, I have not worried too much about the how's & whys - just been glad.

Seemed likely, maybe it traveled the globe or something. The details on the wrap package say AE? Arab Emirate? But that being the likely case, why did they sub out the install for the lights? The rear vertex in the clear slot are like glued in with RTV, and the fronts are installed in the side marker holes - with the existing bulbs just left hanging illuminated in the fenders. It is a curiosity for me. Thanks for the info though.

Gum balls lose their flavor too quick! Plus they might have switched to a darker color?

This looks great. Only changes I would make are adding a pair of grill lights and a HLF. As for the rear stick, I think it looks fine for now, but I don't like the wandering flash pattern (I would keep it simple and alternate the entire left with the entire right side)

Thanks for the input, I've always been a fan of the ShoMe patterns cause of the scan pattern but you're probably right. I definately believe getting more light out there is better. People talk about drunk drivers steering toward the lights, my thought is if the wall of light is bright enough even a drunk won't want to get too close. I've seen guys get hit mostly because they don't watch their mirrors but too little light at to few positions probably contributes as well. Of course there's really not a lot of empirical evidence to support what's most effective. I definately believe a overhead is more effective in all cases than a slick top.
