I finally got around to reposting my Tahoe from the old board.


Here is my 2007 Tahoe, its mostly used for demo purposes, but will be occasionaly used by me at the Sheriff's office where I am a Reserve at.

The grill lights are Federal Signal Viper EXT's.

All the stuff in the vault is used when I am on patrol. The AR only lives in the vault when I am not using the Tahoe on duty. When on duty the AR moves to the back seat where it is much eaiser to get to.

No remote locks on this one, it has manual push button locks. Its actually pretty quick to get open.

And who do you patrol for if I may ask ? Is this some kind of take-home sheriff car ? Because it does sound like it's a vehicle you do own. There seem to be so many options and variations on the concept of "police officer" in the US that it makes the subject quite fascinating !

Its my Tahoe, It started out as the demo vehicle for the store I work for. I then became a Reserve Deputy at the Rogers County Sheriffs Office and they allow me to use it for patrol. All work is on hold on the Tahoe for a little while. I interviewed for a Full-Time Deputy position where I am a Reserve at last night. If I get the Full-Time position the Tahoe will go back to being a stock daily driver and I will start a new project car out of what ever I get from the department.

Actually I won't need a demo car anymore, I will be staying on part time at the store I work at. But that will only be to take care of the Body Armor and Less Lethal Stuff. The only thing that will be staying in the Tahoe is the Truck Vault.

Well I decided what all to leave in the Tahoe yesterday. I stripped out the console to start with. I decided to just go with a Carson Handheld siren and a convertacom for the radio. Most everything will be going into my other car. I spent most of today sorting and figuring out what wires went where.




















the wad of wires in the lower left of the last picture is the radio wiring. I don't have the stuff I need here to finish it, so I just coiled it all up and will finish it tomorow night.


Since I am going for a little stealthier look this time, all the lights on the front bumper are coming off with the exception of the KC Daylighters. I will pull the bumper off later on and weld up all the holes and repaint it. The Rumbler is coming off and going into my patrol car also.
