Hello folks!

After 3 years in this hobby, I too now join the all-clear AeroDynic family!

This AeroDynic was my first lightbar. It was fitted with all red lenses in the beginning and I finally found second-hand clear domes for it last year. The domes were really faded and scratched and it took quite some time to restore them. Another detail of this 24R is that I had 2 amber 4415 bulbs that I had no use for and thought it would be nice to find a use for them with clear domes. I bought 2 PAR holders and a remaining FA3 flasher I had laying around and fitted them behind the cascade mirrors. They don't line-up perfectly centered on their section of the dome but for a display bar, I'm happy with the results. I used pre-drilled holes on the mounting plate as I didn't want to drill new ones. Bulbs are 7400Rs, H7600Bs and 4415As.

I have a few other red(2or 3) and green(2) and clear(a lot) bulbs so if you guys want to see a particular color combo, I might be able to create it.

Thanks to Colonelvet for the PAR holders, Shues for the flasher, and Eric6913 for the NOS AeroDynic nameplates

Let me know what you think! :)

It is a beautiful work you have done my friend, I find this fairly good idea, to install these two amber flashers on rear mirrors, good work!

Congrats

Thanks for the kind words, everybody :) The domes were in a sad shape at first, but just as the last NYPD pair I restored, no cracks, no crazing. Lucky me!

I also always have looked at the rear of the 24R AeroDynic and wondered what I could put back there to put this space to good use... ;) This project is the first modification-one I did. It's nothing cutting edge, but it's somewhat one of a kind I'm really happy on how I turned out.

Great results, looks awesome. The lenses came out really nice too. I am suprised Federal never really did anything like this since there is such a wasted amount of space behind those mirrors...

just caught the thread. the light looks great. thats a good idea for a modification. l agree w/Jeff about being surprised federal signal did not offer that type of option w/the 24R.
