Hello,
just wanted to show some images of one of my FS Model 14 lights.
It's my very first restauration of an US vintage light.
It's not perfect because i don't know how to disassemble the rotating part into individual parts to clean up everything perfectly.
But i'm pretty happy with the reslut.
Anyway, i have to buy some new screws to attach the rotating part to the the rest of the beacon.

Yes, but only the ones from the seller on eBay.
It wasn't in too bad shape, but it needed some cosmetic improvement in my opinion.
I also worked on the dome.
The last pics are the before pics.

Nice job! For a first time restoration, it is best to start with a beacon that is not a pile of junk or just parts. Start with something that needs a good cleaning and not too much more, then go on to more involved restorations.
By the way, if you ever come across anything that has data or a date marked on it in ink, don't clean it with any sort of solvent. Even rubbing alcohol can remove ink marks. I found out the hard way, some things you just have to clean with warm, soapy water.

You have made a good clean up to what I can see.

You said that you do not know how to take apart the internal parts but you seems to be fine.

In any case, to remove the lampholders simply unscrew the two screws inside the lampholders slightly and you can slide the light head of the shaft.

The remove the gear box unscrew the four screws under the base.

The shaft is secured at the bearings with slip on lock washers (or what the real name might be).

I use a screwdriver or a knife, depending of the size, to remove such.

Then you need an Allen wrench to losen the locking screw on the gear and you have almost all parts removed except the motor.
