Well since I have had the past 3 weeks off I have finally gotten around to cleaning up and displaying my collection. I am proud of it, everything is hooked up and functional.

First a wide shot as you walk into the garage from outside. This is a garage in a sense that it has a garage door. Other than that it is "my room" with central heat and air, and my workbench in it. Above the garage door is my Strobehawk.

ai247.photobucket.com_albums_gg129_wcrs2346_elightbars_DSCN0642.jpg

These shelves just got mounted the past week. Left to right top down:

Whelen self contained strobe beacon, Twinsonic 12X, Dietz 7-11 on top of 12X, Whelen self contained beacon.

Federal Fender Mount Fireball (has the dome blackened out at an angle on the back), Dietz "Lollipop Lights" Model 250. These are hooked up to a flasher. Next is FS 175, K&D Model 855 red/blue, FS Beehive Style Glass beacon which is hooked up to the fire alarm box next to it, and then the other Dietz 250.

Mounted to the bottom of the second shelf are my sirens L to R: Smith & Wesson model 800, Federal Signal Director PA15A 1E, North American Signal Company Signal Master, Federal Signal Interceptor 2C, Whelen WS-295, and Tripp Lite Electro Siren.

Bottom Shelf is still a work in progress but right now it holds: FS 173, FS 184, Whelen Pierce Alert, FS Motorized Mirror Light in blue. The siren speaker a FS BP100 NOS is also on the bottom shelf. I put AMP connectors on all the sirens so that I can easily swap the sirens around to the speaker.

Very nice display! I especially like that you can operate them. That's what I did and wish I had more switches....

Thanks! I wanted each shelf to have its own controls. The top shelf has a 7 switch panel that I made. The middle shelf has a standard 6 switch box. The bottom shelf is going to have an older "vintage" Federal 6 switch box that I bought on ebay (if it will ever get here.)

What kind of power source are you using to power the lights ? The Twinsonic didn't even flinch when you turned it on.

A + Collection

I am using an Astron 50 Amp supply. You cant tell it in the video but the Twinsonic is actually on 2 switches and I flipped on about a half second before the other just because of the power draw. If I cut both switches on at once it freaks out the power supply. Switch one is the lights on one side and the motor, switch two is the other side lights. I am working on a Code 3 XL bar with 4 rotators and 2 Stingers in it that I am going to have to break up into 2 different switches because trying to run it all at once overloads the power supply.

Good collection. In my opinion, the prize is the PA20A 2C. I've got one too, and to me the late 1960s PA15As and PA20As are the best sounding electronic sirens ever made.

Ok so I got my NOS Federal Visibeam Searchlight in today. Was trying to think of somewhere to put it and decided on the garage door rail would work. I had to make my own cable for it, but I am pleased with the results.

Sweet videos of the sirens and Visibeam, dude! Hopefully when I have my own home one day, I can rig up all my lights to my power supply and show them off in all their glory  .

So got up this morning and decided to mount my Force 4 lightbar, 4 rotators with 2 Stingers. I am not sure if this lightbar is going to stay here or not, but for now it looks pretty good where it is. I also included a pic of my switchbox for the bottom shelf that came in yesterday.

Cool stuff...lots to play with! I like the Visibeam...

Time to break out the lawn chair, turn 'em all on, open a beer and think about placing the next light!

Just got done with my latest project. This Model 17 was given to me along with a box of working lights I bought off craigslist earlier in the year. As you can see it was in very poor shape, and I was not even sure if it would work or be salvageable. It cleaned up pretty good. I still need to do some polishing on the skirt and a few other places.. I may just end up getting it re-chromed. I bought a NOS dome for it and that alone makes a world of difference. I am needing one of the metal tabs that hold the bulbs into the bulb holders. If anyone has one they would like to sell please let me know.

Those aren't stingers. Stingers are a sealed beam with 2 motors that go up and down. Those are stingrays, open reflector multifunction rotator/oscillators

Opps. I was just going by what was on the control box inside the light bar. Thanks for the correction.

Cool bar though.... the XL had the option for stingrays, stingers or oscilasers.... and at one brief point also oscillating lights similar to the ones from the flush mount intensity. You could make one heck of a traffic clearing bar..... you could have made a bar with stingers, stingrays, oscilasers and "sweeps"....... oscillating heaven!

Chattanooga,TN, Bryant,
It looks great. Very nice setup. Next time I'm up that way I'll have to stop in and see the collection for real, if you don't mind. Is that the 185 that you got from me?

What did you do with the Vector I traded too? Didn't see it, so just wondering.
