I went up to Midland Fairgrounds on Saturday 6-5-2010 for the Antique Festival.

I went looking for Civil Defense items. (didn't find anything :( ) But I didn't know that at

that same festival they had an Auto parts swap meet.

And not even 5 Min's into walking that area I got this 184-H for $40.

They guy said it came off of a 72 Fire truck.

The rubber gasket is not dried out. Very rubbery still.

Light had 3 4416's and one 4415 (fog) bulb in it. I changed it out

to a 4416. The light spins a bit slower then I would expected.

But it has nice chrome and a good dome (about a 8 on a 1-10 scale)

No, the speed is about right. The 184 Models flashed 105 times a minutes, or about 26 rpm of the lighthead. The alternator, battery capacity, voltage regulator, and idle speed of a vehicle all affected the flash rate. Model 175 and 176 lights usually revolved and flashed about 110-120 flashes per minute.

Someone on the old board had posted beacon flash rates.
