One of our stations recently got this... my station will be getting a similar one in Oct. Made by horton, over all a nice unit. All LEDs, wish they'd gone w/ all colored or all clear lenses..... I'll post better pics (not from my phone) when my station's arrives.

Nice ambulance but they should have gone with all clear lenses on a white ambulance.

Most ambulances I have seen dont put color lenses on the Freedom lightbar although it comes in color lenses. I think it looks good. I would of gone with the M9 and M7 series . I dont know why Horton didnt put them on they are almost the same price these days.

I'm pretty sure Horton still quotes M9s as higher cost. They most likely have a stock of 900s still. It lights up well either way. I like the verticle smoke stack, it lets the back drop much lower than if you have a standard exhaust.

nice rig john. are there decals further towards the rear of the ambulance that identify the agency (all i could see was green and amber/yellow striping)?

Yeah there are. They were giving a lot of glare at that angle so I didn't get them in the pic. When we get our station's squad (identical) I'll do a full set of photos.

that drives me nuts too... Some red equipment around here has clear lenses on the front of the box, supposedly so you can tell it's lit in direct sunshine or something..

I have always found the 900's have been better than the m series and they look much better on ambulances. i'm just not a fan of the oval shape of the m series i would rather have the 400,500,600,700,900 lightheads.
