I also like seeing chevrons on the back of squad cars, except I would rather see ghost graphics to make it less of an eye soar.

When done right, they can look pretty classy. They do help a lot with daytime visibility too, which is probably why they didn't use white-on-white, but my preference would be something that matches the stripe on the side. Maybe alternating white and black chevrons with a little gold line on the top and bottom, just to stay consistent.

Psp's new traffic reconstruction vehicles. They ordered 35 of these. They are know as The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist (CARS).

I dig it. The looks of that pavement reminds me, I'd like to see how that aluminum bodywork holds up with road salt.

Like without an air bubble in the middle?
Oh come on, that's just extra padding to reduce the force of a rear impact. It's basically bubble wrap.

Love the rear chevrons. Our agency just updated our graphics last year, and while I pushed hard for chevrons, it didn't happen. Although some locations are putting them on anyway.

Its surprising to me to read how everyone says PSP is behind the times yet they make it a point to do this. I am impressed they are this concerned with their officer's safety....very impressed. You don't read about departments smashing up brand new cars just to keep their people safe.
I'd assume this is the reason they haven't updated their equipment in so long, it most likely is an expensive testing process they go through to ensure officer safety and they can't be buying any new stuff unless they test it, so they only do it every so often.

The Psp as actually been very aggressive on upgrading their patrol fleet the past few years. I have seen more next generation fords both sedan and suv. I've also been impressed with the upgraded lighting package, including the wecan/cencom system. They have enabled all the features, including the corner cutoff when the door opens up for the officer to get out. I'm interested in looking to see what they do for their motor carrier enforcement divisions. They currently run Chevy/Gmc vans which have to be close to 10 years old or more.

Not a fan of TROOPER, but love the graphics and color! They look pretty badass on the new explorers!
Yeah, what ever happened to marking stuff as "state police"?

it depends what state you live in... troopers, highway patrol, and state police are different animals
