Do the endcaps and domes have EEC stamped on them instead of the S&W logo? They appear to in the pics. EEC was the aftermarket source for those when S&W sold out.

My first patrol car, '89 Vic, had one of these. Sounded like a blender when on, and the click clack of the alternating flasher could be heard for some distance. Seemed to have perpetually broken endcaps.

When I was with a small town department in Arkansas back in the early 80s, we bought two new cars and had S&W bars installed, mostly to be different as many of the other departments in the area still used Twinsonics on their cars. I liked them because of the newer style but I especially loved those huge headlights for takedowns because I usually worked graveyards and they would light up the entire countryside on a traffic stop. I still have a S&W bar in my collection, along with some odd and end parts (including a pair of uncracked or broken endcaps) and would sell it or the parts if anyone is interested.

Does a/this cal spec s&w have front red and blue steady burns or is the front blue stationary light a flasher?

They were definitely bright, but each of the front and rear "headlight" stationary lights on S&W bars came from the factory with a strip of grayish/hazy adhesive on them. The strip acted as a diffuser and toned down the brightness and glare a bit, and it was especially good for use with flashers. You can see that strip on the headlight on the right side towards the front in the pics of the bar without the domes, but the strip has been removed from the left side, or else the bulb has been replaced/exchanged. I removed those strips from my front headlight takedowns on the S&W bar that was on my patrol car I mentioned above and it gave them significantly more brightness.
