The Emergency Relay/Charger is for assuring immediate back-up power to communications equipment in the event AC power is temporarily lost to the power supply or the supply fails. In addition it will allow the power supply to act as a “trickle” battery charger without any additional modification.

Just curious that’s a 24 volt system or will work with a 12 volt power supply? Thanks

Not sure, I've never used this particular model, but I am assuming it won't since the specs show 20 to 29.0 VDC.
