Not Vintage But Collectable. Cat 394

It is a rotator, one of the few still being made I suppose. It's a Cat Series 394 made for Caterpillar. Nice light that came NIB for a good price so I thought I would add it to the collection. Nice, very bright light with magnetic mount.

European made, maybe Haztec or Hella? Probably a fast flash rate, 160 or so.

When I was searching for info on it, Britax 374 Series lights kept coming up and look almost identical. Not familiar with Britax either though.

Britax is an old manufacturer of warning lights in England.

They are a part of Ecco Safety Group as Code 3, Delta Design, Hazard Systems, Nova Electronics, Premier Hazard and Vision Alert to name some of the companies.

By the way, Britax seems only making amber lights nowadays but their lights is sold by others like Code 3 and Premier Hazard with other colours.

The 420-series of short bars are quite often refered as Code 3 in USA but is actually Britax.

Previously Britax had their lights in other colours but now only in amber.
