That's not a siren... it's a speaker. I don't know if that was fora siren or just for a public address system.

Wide mouth speaker. Popular in the late 60's to mid 70's. Red color wasn't standard, but they were often painted to match fire trucks, so it was probably for a fire apparatus siren speaker. Any labels?

ya it looks like the original color was dark grey. i cant find anything on it. there is a part that says model but then nothing else.

Those speakers were branded under several different manufacturers. Here is a pic of my NOS Federal model CJ24.
