OLED Technology: Will It Ever Reach Emergency Use?

Once the technology improves in both performance and cost effectiveness would it ever be possible to apply OLED systems to warning lights (lightbars/beacons)? Imagine a bar that could simulate the flash patterns of a Twinsonic bar... change colors.. do a total whiteout for scene lighting. Or even provide cruise lighting with variable text.

wow... that will take slick-tops and undercovers to a whole new level if it ever makes the transition to emergency service.

work it into removable wireless magnetic lightheads the thickness of a couple credit cards for the occasional use pov? very interesting

i don't think they can make those leds very bright just by the nature of the board or reflector.

I don't know...
Not that long ago, the idea of curved screens, odd shapes, and screens everywhere was kind of far fetched. And not much longer ago than that, LEDs hadn't advanced enough to be useful as lighting, especially in white. OLED is just in its infancy.
