One of my other projects...

Some of you may remember, back in December, a member was selling an old Dietz 7-40 Beacon that, for lack of better terms, was a basket case. The light looked like it was stored under water for a year or 4...

I decided to take a chance on this "project" and see what I could do with it. Rather than spend a lot of time typing, I'm just going to let the pictures do the talking. Keep in mind I am not finished yet, I'm just sharing my progress...

And a video for all to see...

The only thing I needed to replace was the brush springs and the lens...

Thanks :)

The only thing that I was real worried about was the motor... I wasn't sure if I would be able to get it working again after it was encased with rust...

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii------------------------------------------------

Shadow-D shouts: "CLEAR!!!" and zaps Dietz beacon.

Dietz beacon's ECG goes:

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.......................bip!....bip!....bip!....bip!....bip!....bip!....bip!....bip!....bip!

We then all go in awe :)

Good job, Doc!
