Built both of these units in different but similar configurations, one being a fully loaded marked and topped version and the other being an unmarked slicktop. This agency runs all blue. Enjoy!

They both look good what type of antenna does the slicktop have? :)

Thanks for all of your positive compliments on my jobs....means a lot to me....

The antenna on both units is a low profile dual mode 800mhz radio and GPS antenna. It's made by Mobile Mark and is used for the unit tracking equipment mounted on the inside of the trunk lid.

Great job as usual, especially the slicktop! Do you know if FedSig has any plans to do the ILS in a passenger side only version?

more great work from cajun. quick question...why vertexes in the rear and code 3 hide-a-blasts up front?...i've seen vertexes up front in crown vics and thought they were only mediocre, so i'm assuming that you've found the code3 LAWs to work well in the CVPI front turn housings for one reason or another, perhaps?

I'm not sure but my guess is probably not. I think because their shrouds are so small and low profile, they're happy with the way the full length versions fit and perform

Thanks Jasen, medicandy, VolEms and fireman616wfd.... I sure do enjoy posting my work for folks that I know can understand what goes into building these vehicles...it's a shame the company I work for doesn't feel the way I do about building these cars, because if they did, you'd be seeing three times the vehicles posted and a tour of a shop worthy of seeing.......

Thanks pdk9,.....two reasons for the different hideaways. First, price versus performance in the rear fixtures. With the rear of these CVs having more than enough coverage from the light bars, I went with the less expensive Vertex to make the swap from strobe to LED more affordable, and still have decent output from the LEDs in those rear fixtures.

Second, I felt like the Hide-A-Blasts were a better fit for those front fixtures by design (tall tree versus short dome), as well as having three more diodes for maximum output in the corners. But, they're a lot more expensive than the Vertex, so I only used them in the front since I felt like they would help with the intersection coverage better than the Vertex.

I do have my favorites in every major brand of equipment I use, but the application always takes precedence over personal choice in my installs. I may absolutely love those Tomar 200S lights, but if they don't work in the application as well as, say a Whelen Slimlighter, then I'll use the SlimLighter.

Thanks fellas!

Great install as always. Love the mixture of brands, I'm partial to Tomar so I like to see their products. First time seeing a Fed Sig ILS in the rear, nice looking.

Great work

I love looking at your installs. Did you put Rect25's with the new housing for the third brake light or you used fed sig on the rear deck. As well why didnt the Chief want a blade they are much brighter.

I'm impressed by your choice of siren speaker on many of your installs, is there any particular reason(s) you choose the AS124? Just curious as that's my preferred speaker... IF there is room to mount it.

That's a FedSig Mini-ILS 9 diode version on the rear deck. I used it because it's bright and I already had it in stock. We're shying away from the Blade for this agency for many reasons, including cost versus performance and uniformity within the fleet. I've always been a fan of the Blade in its output and performance, but not so much in its cost and serviceability. The plastic lenses haze too quickly and the ribbon connectors dry rot and crack.

Tomar hit the target with the Scorpion in all areas IMHO.

Thanks. I think the AS-124 has the best tonal quality of anything out there, and to be honest, they just don't fail all that much versus other speakers. Plus, I like the way they look on a push bumper!

is that a mobile in the trunk? whats up with that?

That's a GPS/800mhz based VLS, (Vehicle Locator System) utilized by our major agencies for dispatch and 911 operations. Our local PD, SO and MO are dispatched through a central 911 location where the units are GPS tracked by where they are located for better response time. That's what's up with that.
