For Sale PANYNJ 7 Pod Vector Amber

Hello, I am selling my 7 pod Amber Federal Signal Vector from a PANYNJ Suburban. Right mounting foot is missing, wiring harness is included but cut, and the pod all the way on the right does not work. Asking $300 OBO local pickup (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) or shipped (buyer pays shipping). Thanks for reading, pictures are below.

Welcome to the group. With amber domes you would likely do better parting the bar out. The standard Vectors are not worth much on their own (no harm in seeing what you can get for it though). That is about a $50 bar as it is, I would be very surprised to see it sell even for $100. I would consider testing the waters to see what you could get for the amber domes, center base and wiring if it is long enough. The rotators come in 3 speeds so if you can check the speed you might get a few extra bucks there too.

While I somewhat agree, I think you could get a bit more than $50 for it. Certainly not 300.00 with a broken down pod and no harness attached. 300 is ready to go shape nowadays.

Having said that, I agree on parting it out as an option. May take longer, but check your motors on each rotator for the following part #'s to check for speeds:

8422B463B which is VROTK - 90 FPM

8422B463B-04 which is VMEDK - 120 FPM

8422B463B-02 which is VFASTK - 175 FPM

I had to replace a rotator assembly and had to find one on ebay. I didn't care how much it was, because I needed it.

If they were any other color domes, worth more.

I was assuming since it was off of an PANYNJ truck that it would be worth more. I'll check the bar and come back with the serial numbers.

It's hard to ask extra money for bars from specific agencies unless they have official property tags still attached. Even then, it's not a guaranteed way to make more. Vectors usually go for $50-$75.

Does the tag read PANYNJ where it has the model number? They did use custom configurations, and if so to some collectors this could be worth more money. As an example I had a NOS mini Vector that was tagged PANYNJ and ended up getting traded to another member here on elb.

I believe so, I know there's a 3 pod Vector SL that has PANY on it. It also came with a old highriser that has the tag NY on it, let me know if you need pics.
