Hello Unity Mfg... I have a post mount spotlight on a Tahoe. I need the bolt that goes into the slide nut on the handle. Mine has pulled a Houdini. What is a suitable replacement? I would also like to ask how to tension the assembly so it won’t be blown backwards when pointing straight ahead at speeds over 40. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, no pun intended.

I have the wedge nut and screw also if you need one. The tightening points for both the head and for the shaft are on the underside of the shaft and youll need hex key to adjust the looseness/tightness of each

Links for wedge and wedge screw used to secure handle are below. For tightening the light there is a metal piece that connects the head of the light to the shaft of the light. On the bottom of this piece there are three screws. The one closest to the shaft controls swing of the shaft. Tightening that a little should help fix the issue. Also when driving we recommend putting the light into it's park position. This is where it is swung in towards the windshield with the head rotated so the shell is aimed out and the lamp in aimed in towards the windshield.

If there is a notch milled into the side of the shaft that the handle slides over, this is called a flat. If your light has a flat you will use one set of wedge and wedge screw. If it does not you will use a different set.

With Flat:

U-8385 Wedge Screw: https://www.unityusa.com/U-8385-Wedge-Screw-For-spotlight-with-flat_p_299.html

Without Flat:
U-1834 Wedge: https://www.unityusa.com/U-1834-Wedge_p_331.html
U-1836 Wedge Screw: https://www.unityusa.com/U-1836-Wedge-Screw_p_294.html

Hello everyone. Thank you for the assistance

update: I was able to snug the adjustment for “tilt”. Much better. As for the Houdini trick the bolt pulled, the door pocket was it’s hiding place for about 36 hrs.;)
