Power source on our engine... Is this acceptable?

Installed a new kussmaul battery charger on our engine, replacing the old one in the rearmost lower compartment. There is a junction stud mounter under the charger with a 2 gauge wire from the stud to the charger and a 4 gauge wire from the stud to each if two batteries in the truck. Question is: can I draw 12v power for some new warning lights in the rear of the truck and use the existing warning lights wire (just wig wag lolipop lights) to trigger a relay. When the truck is plugged in the charger is putting out 13.8v and I forget the amps. Would drawing power for some new warning lights from the stud be safe? When the charger is off, it's just coming straight off the batteries.

Thanks

Craig

Have a set of code 3 550 beacons, and wanting to add some lower level surface mounts. Maybe LED or strobe. Would all be controlled via relay.

Thanks
