Problems with PA300, possibly fried

I borrowed a friend a new PA300.. He used it for 2 years.. He put it in his vehicle and put a ground to the light blue wire and said the box started smoking... I took it apart and I am assuming it fried the transformer.. But then again I am not familiar with this box... Can anyone steer me in the right direction, or does anyone on this board work on these or have a transformer...

Thanks Chris

I see you're new here. Welcome to eLightbars!

I found this thread in the forum where users post problems with the web site itself. It looks like you're thread is about having trouble with a siren, so I have moved your thread to the Audible Warning Equipment technical discussion forum.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

If the problem is in the power amp section (i.e. transformer or output transistors) it should be easy to fix.  If it's somewhere on the circuit board and one of the IC chips are fried, it will be more difficult to fix.  If it's a new PA300 you should be able to get parts for it.
