Programming transfer problem in HHS2200

I am trying to program my friends Whelen HHS2200. I downloaded the program onto my computer straight from the whelen website this past weekend. I set it all up to, saved it, and went to transfer it but for some reason nothing is happening. I plugged my computer into the brain of the HHS2200 but absolutley no luck at all. I did it with the car running so that it would be turned on. Am I missing something here. All the lights and the siren work, he just wants different fuctions then what it came with.

"Extracting" programming involves downloading the programming from the amp and opening it on your PC, not programming the amp with new commands. That function would be "transfer".

i tried that too and that didnt work...any other ideas?

try and re-install the software. I installed it once and had to re-install it as the first install was corrupted somehow.


maybe try a different USB cable?

Also check the dip switch positions. They need to be the same as your set up.
