question about wiring a 4200dl

First off I would like to say that the 4200 controller is one of the best controller I have used.

I have my light bar wired into the controller just fine but I was wondering how to wire the pattern change function. To activate the pattern change the wire needs to be applied to a ground source. is there a way to do this?

Nate,

You would have to use a relay in order to change the pattern with the 4200. Wire the relay pin 85 or 86 to the output you want to use. The other pin, 85 or 86, as well as pin 87 or 30 to ground. Then hook the unused pin, 30 or 87, to the lightbar pattern change wire.
