I have a Tahoe with the dark tint glass in the rear and rear sides. I need recommendations on how to add side warning that is somewhat low-profile.

I did this with SoundOff Ghosts in a Durango, I'd say they're pretty low profile but pump out pretty good straight on:

For the sides:

2 Soundoff Ghosts per side mounted between the roof rack and the roof

2 Soundoff Universal LAWS mounted on the running boards synced with the Ghosts

For the Rear:

2 Soundoff Ghosts (surface mount style) mounted to a custom license plate bracket you make for around $6.00

2 or 4 Soundoff Universal LAWS in the tail lights

Whelen Avengers have great punch through tint and are good off axis, slimlighters are good for straight on warning.

Compared to a Viper avengers have horrible off axis. Straight on they're bright but to the side...waste of money. Slimlighter or better yet dual Ghosts are better.

I don't know what Chrysler factory tint is compared to your Tahoe but what I did was a pair of Tomar RECT25's, high power, in the rear glass with a Slimlighter MM in between them. On the sides, I put a single Talon in each window.

The Tomar's punch through the factory tint very well and have great off axis punch, as does the Talons. The Slimlighter is used during the day in bright sunlight for a little more punch. I have video if you would like to see it.

tir6 slimlighters on bail mounts in the rear side windows is what i would personally do. other forms of side warning that are pretty low-pro are adding a pair of vertexes on the running boards or a pair of ghosts on the running boards (although the ghosts are obviously more visible due to being slightly larger.

Well the OP said he wanted some low profile suggestions, but many of the replies are suggesting anything but. I thought my dual Ghosts were the least obvious with better than average output, but I also have used Tomar RECT/200S series in the side/rear glass of Tahoes, Acadias and TrailBlazers successfully! I've also dome FedSig ViperS2s in the same way successfully in Tahoes.

Not so low profile applications like the OP asked for, but here they are!

OP, I am using a 12" microman lightbar in each rear side window mounted on home depot L brackets. I like the lighting a lot. In the rear I am installing 2 tir6 heads on custom mounts. When i come into more money i will upgrade to 4.
