Rifle mount location

I am installing a rifle lock in my unmarked Tahoe (2020). No cage and has a factor center console, so I’m trying to figure out the best spot for mounting. I would prefer to be able to reach it from the front seat and need to be able to have a front seat rider, but anything is better than the cargo area lock box it’s in now. Any suggestions?

I've seem them mounted along the console on the passenger side muzzle down, either in the "high rise":

I would agree, roof mount has got to be the way to go. I wish we could still do the straight up in front of the dash like we did in the 90s.
