I have always found these to be neat looking bars and wanted one because in my mind it is what the Creative Technologies Stealth would have progressed to if they stuck around in to the LED age. One finally presented itself to me at a reasonable price with some extra goodies included, so I snatched it up.

I was extremely impressed by how well built this bar seems to be. It is very sturdy and clean looking when it comes to the setup. Yes I know they were plagued with some defects with module quality at times.

This one is a two wire bar that is all red/blue with the "Mag-feet" that have built in halogen takedowns and alleys. The two wires allow you to power the bar and have one pattern (selected by the second wire). They also would pair up with an ICM to be powered by any set up of switches or a set of Rontan's smart switches could also be used.

This came with an ICM 40, LC2000 (non smart switches), and a DSC40. They all work very well together. The only thing that I can not figure out how to do is change the patterns on the ICM...can't even find a manual online for that. If anyone has the manual or ideas, let me know. I have included a PDF of the manual for the lightbar should anyone need it.

I'll guess that it will be the same case for me then, unable to update the ICM for other programming. Oh well...

Pictures of the ICM 40 Manual are attached. Changing the patterns can be a bit of a pain with the ICM 40. Our local PD was using the Winglux bars but they will begin being phased out starting this year. They were plagued moisture problems and are tired of having to have the bars fixed. Pictures are high quality so you can zoom in on them. If you have any questions about reprogramming I can try to answer your questions. It's been a year since I've messed with one of the Winglux bars.

Nice addition to your collection and thanks for the vid!

Never thought of the Winglux as a successor to the Creative Tech full-size Stealth but that makes total sense to me and I think you're right on track with that! :)

Not gonna lie, i was never impressed with this bar. On the ones that I've seen, i think the output is decent, but Ive always thought it looked like a really ugly china KO version of FedSig

The output is surprisingly good for the poor optics that they used. I think it would be better with a mix of Whelen LIN and TIR optic heads, but that would be a costly conversion.

This bar in particular I have a hard time thinking of as an ugly KO, but Rontan did have their "pod" version that I would agree did.

Still haven't had a chance to monkey with the programming on the ICM40 to...been too busy with OT.

Not to revive an old post, but do you happen to still have the file for the manual? I just picked up a Winglux and for some reason, the manual posted here will not open and I can not find a manual online.

@mls60442 Here you go! Knew I still had it. I also have the 2011 Rontan catalog, but it is too large to upload. Let me know if you want it emailed to you.

Thank you, @tsquale! I do appreciate it. Sure, I'll take a copy of the catalog. I just picked up a Winglux for a good price and don't know much about them so it would be nice to learn more through the catalog. I'll PM you with my email address. Thank you again!

I had always thought those bars were neat looking but had never seen one in action. It ranked in there with the Federal Valor styling wise. I like the Winglux design better but I like the multi-color flash pattern capabilities of the Valor.

I have long wanted colored domes for this. After watching a seller on ebay's ad for a red and blue one continue to be relisted, I made a lowball offer and was successful in getting them. They arrived today and briefly provided shelter to Bonnie on the couch. Broke out the rotary tool and after some careful measurements and cuts.... viola! If anyone is interested in buying the remenant halves, shoot me a PM.

Sorry I thought the photos were finished uploading. Not sure if they'll attach here so I've uploaded them to photobucket instead http://s1370.photobucket.com/user/rgscommkb/slideshow/Rontan Instructions
I haven't been on this forum lately due to changing careers several years ago, but someone messaged me looking for the ICM40 manual. The photobucket link no longer works so I thought I would upload the pictures here in case someone else comes across this thread looking for the manual.
