San Antonio TX Police made Whelen produce some odd things to "Meet Spec". This is the first generation of one of the special bars. This early "Tray LED Light Array" proved to be troublesome for Whelen. This tray snap fits into the standard Plastic Standoffs used in 9M/9U/Freedoms. Note that the LED boards are the same as used in a Slimlighter, however the lenses had to be "Created" to fit this application. They would often break at the glued point and end up rattling around inside the bar. Whelen then decided to opt for the Standard 6x6 400 Series. (I have no clue as to why this Frankenstein was produced in the first place.) I have been searching for a set of these trays for a long time. SAPD requires that their decommissioned lightbars be destroyed. 20160724_100309.jpg
