As the title says I've got some ions I'm trying to reuse but the problem is the screws are cracked off into the head any clue how to mount them these things are pretty pricy new here so I don't know if drilling the screws out is too risky so any help is a godsend

Am I correct to say that the heads snapped off the screws and the screws left in the body of the light? I have had luck using a very small drill bit on a press then moving up sizes until I am close to the threads. My wife does have jewelry making tools (micro drill press), but any press should work. The key is go as small a bit as you can fit in the chuck and secure the lights really well.

The other option is Whelen Warranty. I always check, I have been pleasantly surprised before.

What was said above. Drill em out. My preferred method, is to take a small grinder, like a dremel, to flatten the screw where the head broke, then it’s easier to drill the center, and not slip off the side. If you can drill a tiny hole through it, sometimes tapping in a small torx bit will work to screw it out without damaging the ION.

I appreciate everyone's help :) I ended up finding some dead ions that were used inside the vehicle from my local fire department they gave me and swapped the housings over :)
