Hi everyone. I am new to the site and I am looking for some advice/assistance. My department currently runs and 1990 Simon Duplex/EONE. I am looking to upgrade to forward warning lights with LEDs. The existing lights are red sealed beam lights (2 - 6 1/2"x4" over each headlight). I am looking for an easy and relatively cost effective upgrade to LEDs. What changes do I need to make and is there an easy swap out package out there? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Thanks again for the help guys. One more question. Do I need to make any changes to the existing flasher mechanism on the pumper?

P.S. If anyone knows of the above lights (whelen 600) for sale anywhere drop me a PM.

If you want them to do the same flash pattern as the halogens you have currently, just set them to steady pattern and the pumper flasher will flash them just like the halogens. If you want them to do the funky patterns, I'd suggest you find where the flasher is in the truck and bypass it giving constant power to the LEDs once the switch is turned on. If you really want to get anal, you can try to fish a wire across the truck and connect the sync wires together to sync them in simultaneous or alternating patterns.

Where are you located? There are a lot of Whelen dealers on the board as well as some pretty reputable online vendors.
