Have the chance to buy this great light, but i was wondering if i could check if it was original NYPD? This config should be easy to make or am i missing something? Also read about the domes sometime being Dietz, what is the difference, the rounding of the dome? Help appreciated.

Dietz domes have straight sides and a convex top.
Signal Stat domes have curved sides and a flat top.
That's the quick way to spot the difference, the one you pictured appears to be Signal Stat.
As rare as good condition Dietz domes are, Signal Stat domes in good condition are even harder to find.

I'd buy that regardless of whether or not it's NYPD, because those domes are impossible to find. NYPD Signal Stat beacons had some sort of electronic solenoid between the beacon and the wiring to cut down on radio interference from the lights. Regular Signal Stat beacons are directly wired. I have one of each, but I'd have to dig them out of storage to get good pictures.
