Well, I have about $300 to spend and I'm looking to get a new dashlight. I currently have a red/blue Whelen Avenger on the dash that was upgraged from a Talon. The entire light package is currently Whelen as a matter of fact, but I'm looking to change it up a bit and add some manufacturing variety after hearing good things about various different companies.

I thought the Avenger was a great upgrade from the Talon. But, I hear people claim how the Tomar blows it away...how the Viper is better for off-axis and brigher dead ob and I hear alot of good comments about Soundoff.

Having said that, I'm thinking of moving the Avenger to the back window and adding a new dashlight. So, if you had $300 to spend, what would you get and why? I haven;t heard much talk on here about the Predator II as well...any opinions?

If you have the money. I sell Tomar and can get you any color. The Tomar 200s Blows it away with 12 Led's per head and no flashback. Once you put the 200s High Power you will never go back.

I've had the Vipers twice and hate them. They are not as bright as the original Talon and are impossible to mount with the mounting hardware included. Either save your money or go with the HP Tomar as I have only ever heard good about them.

I agree the Vipers aren't great mounting wise. I think they're plenty bright. For $300 you could probably almost get 2 dual Vipers. Certainly one used and one new.

Well gentlemen, he wasen't kidding. I picked up my 200s high power from VolEms today and I have to say it is the brightest linear dash light I have ever used. I actually had to respond to something today during the day and the light was reflecting off the street signs in the sunny daytime and people were pulling over waaaayyy before I came up on them. Can't wait to try it out at night.
