Spectralux Viper S2 pattern won't hold

I've got a hardwired S2 mounted in the rear of my cruiser with a push button pattern selector. I can change the pattern and get it to hold the new pattern (both sides shining the same color at a time), but when I turn my lights off, it reverts back to the old pattern (one side red, one side blue, flashing at the same time and making purple).

How do I force this lighthead to hold the last pattern I select?

Its the pattern change switch. Whelen had the same issue with the first generation Slim Lighter failing...just after 5 years of use.
Would I just swap the switch out? I don’t even know how I would go about that honestly lol

The Whelen one was soldered into the board which was beyond my pay grade to fix. If you open up the housing, wires from the switch would be good and worth a change out to a momentary switch.
