Here are mine. The responder was either re-glued or isn't factory, but it's not too bad. Otherwise they are all factory. The yankee beacon isn't cut, it's dyed that way. The magnabeam is the side oriented oscillating version, it's obviously done with a clear dome and half covers. I wish the horizontal split strobe domes were in better shape.

The Dietz 211 is undergoing motor surgery, and yes that's a blue glass Super Beacon Ray in the sixth picture...but no cruise light for Hawaii.

I can just see that CJ184 in the fourth pic down sitting on the roof of a late 60's - 70's vintage Mass State Police cruiser....

That is not a Federal Signal dome, that looks like a Deitz split color dome. It's worth the sum of it's parts, which is a Federal Signal Model 14 Series A2 and a Dietz split color dome. Complete model 14's will fetch around $75. Yours appears to be missing the bulbs, that diminishes its value. The incorrect dome also diminishes its value, but split color Dietz domes are rare and I have no idea what such an item is worth, certainly more than $25 for the dome.

The dome is worth way more than the light. I am thinking of selling a model 14 domeless for $35.

Domeless, $35 to $45 would be about right, depending upon condition and vintage. The 14 does not fetch the collector value that 184's or any of the Beacon Ray's fetch, owing to the massive quantities of 14's Fed Sig produced. The 14 went into production in 1963 and was still in the 2011 catalog. It is not listed in the 2012 catalogs, but Fed Sig still has a PDF listing for it when looking specifically in the "beacon" category, so I'm guessing it is out of production as of 2012.

A while back there was a seller on ebay that would take two domes, cut them in half, and create a split dome. Haven't seen the listing for this service recently; does anyone on here have any experience with this and know this person or if the service still available?

I have a blue beacon ray dome that is cracked, and a red beacon ray dome with a flat spot that I would love to have someone make one good one out of. These are both the early, smaller version of the BR dome.

Thanks,

Don
