What a GORGEOUS truck! They are always working on it and adding to the build, supposedly it started life in Oregon and then moved to Colorado where it is part of a heritage group with no fewer than half a dozen trucks. We are so privileged to have it in our car club!

Its a close repro.. the original squad had a smaller box. That may be an authentic box from an LA county squad but a newer model. Also the antenna on the roof is a UHF center load gain. LA county was on VHF then.

Not only that, but the true original squad was refurbbed and is now in the La County fire museum.

Yes, the box is about 6" too tall but a great replica nonetheless.

and too wide and there is diamond plate on the bottom of the box front. The original has none

We will probably never truly know just how many became firefighters and or EMT/Paramedics because of that truck and the two guys in it every Saturday night.
