I am looking for information on the SS2000-SM that can be controlled by the Motorola XTL series radios. I have not been able to find any information on these units or how to integrate them into the radio controls. The Motorola programming software simply says:

DEK Box Features (Controls)
<td>For definitions of the following selections, please refer to the
"SS2000-SM Siren Manual"td>

My main question is what hardware is needed to integrate the controls, and if it is a standard SS2000-SM or if I would need one of the GE versions with the DB9 port. If anyone happens to have one, I would love to have the manual for programing the units this way, as I have been unable to find one from Motorola or Fed Sig.

Thanks in advance!

You need the federal Signal current loop to serial adapter aka, the "touch screen" adapter and a custom RS-232 interface cable to the XTL.

The attached manual should get you going.
