While looking for some parts for a Soundoff Apex I came accross this European manufacturer Standby AB (http://www.standby.eu) and their W1, W2 and W3 lightbars look very much like previous SoundOff products. Can anyone shed some light on these? Is this some kind of licensing deal, or just knock offs?

Licensing or just SOS's European dealer similar to Woodway and Whelen. Not sure of the arrangement w SOS but not knock offs. Standby is one of the major premium European lighting companies. They own several other significant brands as well (Pintsch Bamag, Mercura).

Standby have shared frames etc. with Soundoff in exchange for L.E.D modules and such. Many Standby W lightbars share the same modules as Soundoff. Soundoff Apex seems to be the same lightbar.
