STAR HOT SHOT II BULB OPTIONS

I have a Star Hot Shot II that came with a 27 watt halogen bulb. They do not offer a higher watt bulb. Per the company, it has an SAE 2 rating. Is it possible to get a compatible bulb that will up the rating to SAE Class 1? Do I risk melting the dome? Thanks!

A 50 Watt 795X should fit, and noticably improve the light output, but not sure on the heat., especilly if it has a plastic reflector.

If the 795 is to hot, you could try a 796 which is 35 watt
