Storage shed finds. What do we have?

I've been tasked with cleaning out our storage room at the fire house and trying to figure out what kinda stuff we've got and if there is a market for it

Yes, all of those are considered collectible, and you may have already found the For Sale and For Trade forum on this site if you decide to sell. To get a more accurate assessment of what you have and to determine pricing, I'd recommend some more detailed pictures to help the members here provide guidance.

Good luck!

Thanks. I'll head back up to the station after work and get some better pictures of what we've got. Any help identifying this stuff, guidance and pricing info would be greatly appreciated. Any funds collected would go into our budget to help repair and purchase equipment for our department

We have 1 of the "code 3", 2 of the red and blue "street hawk" 3 of the "twin sonic" 2 with mounting brackets and 1 without. Also the one with the red and blue domes

The bar with the red and blue beacons is probably a Model 11, also called the Twin Beacon Ray. A motor in the base of the master beacon uses a chain that runs inside the bar to drive the slave beacon.

Good pictures and while everything you have is considered collectible, most of these are the more ubiquitous lightbars that were produced and look like they've seen some heavy duty duty(not uncommon of course). I wouldn't expect to receive more than a few hundred dollars each ($200 to $500), and you need to determine the following before listing them wherever (here, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Craigslist, etc.):

1. Have you hooked any up to a 12V power source to determine if they're functional? Do bulbs light up and rotators/flashers move?

2. Do the lenses have any cracks, crazing or chips? The Twinsonic 12X looks like it has come crazing inside the right lens (fine, jagged lines) which are not removable. Lenses are often now the more valuable part of the lightbar as they're becoming harder and harder to find, and collectors tend to focus on their condition to determine restoration potential.

3. The Twin Beacon Ray @shues mentions above looks like the tops of the domes have been painted black--is that accurate?

4. Can you tell if the Twinsonic and Streethawk have speakers in the middle (behind the metal speaker cover grill(s))?

5. And the $64K question: are you willing to ship? If you use UPS/Fedex packing shipping services, you're looking at approximately $150 PER BAR within the continental U.S. That will certainly have an influence on what someone's willing to offer when shipping is factored in.

It's a bit of an investment in time, but answering these questions and providing as much detail in the ad description will go a long way to obtaining the best price for your items.

@AuroraBorealis
Thanks for the info. I'll work on getting some better pics, determining condition and testing functions. We aren't looking to get rich off this stuff...but if we can make a few bucks for the department and get someone a piece they're looking for we will be happy. I didn't figure shipping would be cheap, so that will definitely be a consideration. We all work full-time jobs outside of the department but we can make some time to get this stuff taken care of.
Any tips on testing this stuff? Rig up a car battery to some alligator clips?

We also have some more odds and ends, spot lights, older fittings and tools also. No telling what else might come up emptying this place out

Yes, a car battery with jumper cables will work. It appears most of them have some remaining wiring coming out of them, so positive clamp to red or white wire, negative clamp to black wire (or anywhere on frame of light to ground it).

Hey guys. Sorry, it's been a busy couple weeks with work and our Halloween carnival...and taking calls...
Just wanted to check in and let yall know I haven't forgot about this stuff. I should get a chance to test this stuff and get some better pics sometime in the next few days

It is still available. I got busy with some other things and haven't got a chance to get down there and test things and take better pics.
