Hello everyone!

I am quite happyto show you the new baby (well, not such a baby considering the size) of the collection. She started as an all-red firetruck rescued bar found in the local classified. I striped the bar down and cleaned and polished every parts. I toyed a while about what color combination I should get for her. The all red domes were not in such a good shape; besides, all-red domes are so common and bland I had to get something else. I settled for all clear, since, well, the color combinations are endless and seriously, who can get tired of all-clear AeroDynics? I certainly can't... :)

I decided to go in a classic, yet different fashion. Red and blue California bars were often seen, but not in 72" as far as I know. I'd have a hard time picturing this big bar on a police vehicle but nonetheless, let's try it.

I found the red and blue AeroHawk filters after a LONG search. They are held in place with brass bolts, since the older metal rotators wouldn't accept the newer star screws that came with the filters. The amber 4415A at the back were found I think on Amazon. The clear domes were from Toyotafan. The harness, I had from another rescued bar headed for scrap.

It has 8 rotators, 4 red and 4 blue, V mirrors in the center, amber rear flasher, red steady burn, and a clear takedown on the passenger side. A video will follow soon. I didn't want to screw up the rotator all facing forward for now. :p

Enjoy!

Toon

Domes freshly arrived.

Holy crap, this is something that I haven't even thought of. Very creative and it's a good use of the space. I'm thinking you should go nuts and toss a Crossfire into the center though. I mean, why not add overkill to overkill? And I mean that in an awesome way for once, not a whacker-stupid way.

I have an older Mickey Mouse CrossFire in an old Aero 25CF... Maybe?

Thanks for the comments, everyone :) I really like it too. The video will be nice as well, as even I didn't see it in action yet.

If your gonna go with a TCL  go with Meteors..     They should be easier to find..

The older Crossfire might look abit silly on this bar.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone :)

Wait a minute. . . . . . . . Are you saying that you have been building this beauty and haven't played with it.

Are you nuts ??????
Yup, haven't had the time yet. I have to drag my power supply outside, undo all the actual connections.... I will be done, though :) You all will discover the blinding fury at the same time I will ;)

Just my style, I approve as well!! They did have a police version, here my AH-3:

I wouldn't have thought... Do you have actual pictures and/or applications where this AH series were used? I'm guessing big command post and swat vans?

Maybe it's me, but I've always found the Meteors to be too small for the big AeroDynic footprint. I like those big Mickey Mouse ones. Nonetheless, both would look nice up there...  :undecided:

I feel the same way, but there are two sides to the TCL debate. First, the Crossfire is worth more and harder to find than Meteors. Also, they don't exactly go with the independent rotator design of the rest of the bar. However, they provide (in my opinion) a better TCL light and fill the bar better than Meteors. Either or, I'll support your decision.

Found it in Quebec City 2 years ago. It was all red and off an old fire truck. Cleaned everything inside and ordered new domes. AeroDynic are hard to find here, as Code 3 is everywhere, older Federal Signal, not so much.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody :)
