Trouble with my Omega 90

I'm having an issue with my Omega 90. I'm controlling it with an Omega 3000 switch. Every time I tap the horn ring to change tones, the sweep doesn't sweep. My speakers make a loud continuous "farting" noise. Then it won't switch back to the primary wail tone. It just continues to fart. Any ideas on what's going on with it? Is it the amp or maybe the switch? I need to figure it out cause I need my sweep tones!!

For the odd noise issue this type thing can happen when the preamp doesn't get proper power its often failing capacitors that do this

Do the tones work correctly before you hit the horn rin switch? If so it may be a switching circuit fault in the unit (most trigger transistors as sensing that transistor may be dieing triggering 2 functions at once making the farting noise)

I hope this helps some

I played with it today and it will start off in Wail like normal. I have the sweep tone set to Yelp. When I hit the horn to activate the sweep tone, it starts farting. I hit the horn again to deactivate the sweep tone, it continues to fart. It doesn't go back to wail. I cut everything off and wait a minute. Turn the siren back on and it starts off in Wail again. I changed the sweep tone to Hi-Lo only and it works flawlessly now. I'm thinking something is up with the Yelp section of the sweep tones.

Sounds like the tone is carruped some how odd for only 1 or 2 tones to do that though its all based in one rom chip it may be caroded have a look inside for any corrosion on the board
