Two Different Speakers, Slightly Different Sounds?

I have a Whelen WS295HSF1 200w siren. My question is, if I use two different model Whelen siren speakers, will the sounds differ between the two, at least a little? Or is that all based off the siren itself and the speakers will match eachother in what you hear?

If the speakers aren't the same specs you can damage the siren itself. Best using identical speakers. I dont know if the industry has a standard for impedance and such in siren speaker drivers.

Among the major manufacturers, the industry standard for 100 W speakers is 11 Ohm impedance. There's no problem combining different speaker types. Just make sure the phasing is correct for maximum output.

Any acoustical difference between the speakers will be negligible.

^ Correct. How does one discern phasing? We must rely on + and - being consistant?

If in doubt, you can try reversing the polarity of ONE of the speakers. Whichever orientation produces stronger sound is correct.
Thank you. I'd like to reverse polarity just to hear how much cancellation occurs!

Always wondered how much cancellation occurs where the sound is reflected in the reentrant cone. Reflects twice before leaving the speaker.
