I am looking at building a multiple beacon bar. It is gonna be one-of-a-kind, so I can't see trying to buy an original used bar and making my beacons fit. I'm just going to build it from scratch. I am figuring about 47" long. How tall/deep should I go? Is there an advantage of using square stock over round? I am talking about a horizontal bar that will sit under separate beacons to keep them in a nice straight package, like was common in the 70's

Aren't there still a few companies making lightbars similar to Federal's Visibar that you can use as a base?

I see these frequently on places like Craigslist..

I don't really wanna spend what a collectible would cost. I'm mixing 2 Federal beacons, an Arrow beacon, and throwing in some custom LED flashers too. It won't look like any particular bar, because it will be a one of a kind original. Just wanna avoid using a horizontal bar that's too skinny or too thick cause it will look weird.

Decided to go with my original plan of making one from scratch. May look rough for now, but many more lights are going on this. The rough parts will be covered.
