Hello,

For sale today is an apparently unusual item, a Unity Eye Beam Spotlight Retrofit kit. The Eye Beam system is a motion detecting system that connects to the beloved Unity Spotlight commonly found on most modern police cars. It comes in the form of a small box with two 'eyes' in the front which is attached to the bulb housing of the spotlight. Thus wherever the spotlight is pointing, the Eye Beam is looking. It can be turned on via buttons on the back, and when active it reads for any motion in front of it, with an effective range of up to 35 feet. It is intended so that while the officer is busy writing tickets, or checking for warrants at a traffic stop, the Eye Beam is watching the driver of the stopped vehicle. If the driver starts to move to get out of the car to run or present a threat the the officer, the Eye Beam detects it and a loud warning sound goes off, alerting the officer. It would also be a good idea when stopped in a dark or congested area, the officer can point it backwards towards the rear of the car, in case someone approaches the car from the officer's blind spot on the rear. This is a very advanced and interesting system and a great idea for any public safety official, be it police, sheriff, security guards, etc. More information on the Eye Beam itself can be found through Unity and/or Google.

Attached are picture of the unit for sale. It was bought from a company who no longer needed it, it was never mounted and is still brand new in box with all mounting parts and instructions. Unity is well known for their excellent customer service and detailed instructions.

The kit is a complete bolt-on replacement. No other parts are required. Comes with the Eye Beam itself, mounted to a brand new bulb and bulb housing, with all wires. Installation and familiarization with the product should be short and simple. The spotlight bulb included is a halogen bulb. This kit NIB is nearly one thousand dollars.
