\ said:KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Some members of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were injured when their vehicles collided while responding to a burglary call.
The crash between a car and an SUV occurred around 3:40 a.m. Monday near Hackett Catholic Central High School on Kilgore Road. The authorities were responding as backup to a reported burglary at the school, first called in by another officer about 10 minutes earlier.
A K-9 unit officer and his dog were traveling in the car, and a lietenant and a member of the Explorer Program, as part of a ride-along, were riding in the SUV. The humans are in stable condition at a hospital. The dog was not hurt.
