What is that low siren at 3:15 in the video?

A few screens shots of a couple that stood out to me.

This looks like a giant Fireball that doesn't spin.

You don't see these very often !

I wonder if these were an issue at the drive in window? Ha.. They sit so tall. Probably no higher than a Federal CJ184 though.

Never seen everything mounted to one side like that. Appears to be a 174 in the middle.

I like the sound of the B&M mechanical sirens much more than the Federals.

As for the electronic sirens, the only ones I like are the late 1960s Federals with the low-pitched tones. I think there were two vehicles in that parade that had them.

Here is the B&M, its on a Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept. restored 1970 Fury, which I got to drive during the parade!22467464_10210155996276472_847801786306537379_o.jpg

I'm thinking a FedSig C4...8" coaster known for its baritone sound. I have a B&M S8 and it has a slightly higher pitch.

I like the sound of the B&M mechanical sirens much more than the Federals.

I concur Wailer (especially about the electronics), but I never knew about B&M until shows like "Emergency!" hit the airwaves, and none existed in Louisville, KY. The Super Chief is cool!

Pity. A nice parade like that, and (including you) only 3 spectators. :(

Too many intersections to deal with. The participants are told they don't have any kind of right of way. So if you run a stop sign or red light and cause a traffic collision, you are on the hook for it.

Yep, I was in the parade also, and same rules as always. But--the community is so supportive of the parade and event, they really do good job of not getting themselves in the way, and equally the participants also do the same...

Thank you for the info. Our area puts up barricades for intersections for events like this to prevent issues.

Southpaw, which car were you driving? I didn't see that Nova in your avatar.

And I hope you don't mind me adding this to your post...

GUMSHOO.. Yep.. that be me!! LOL.. I don't think they do the long distance thing any longer, and even still I may not be that one. There were some folks from Nevada and Arizona that may have been further out..

I counted only one 9th generation Impala. It was so subtle I did not notice the lights at first. I should go next year and represent. I just need to get time off and permission. Anyone else going next year?

I think that was southpaw's car you saw. And you are right, it was the only one at the show.
