Hey all, just looking to see what everyone else is using.

At my FD, we use Streetwise CADlink for a mobile cad, and has google maps with layers integrated.

We also use Dropbox for files, smartermail for email and we use whatsapp for a group chat.

What is everyone else using?

Were a bit old fashioned like station 3. Cell phone with Google maps if we can get a signal and m16 with lots of ammo in case we can't.

Are we talking dispatch and response technology, or technology in general?

As far as 'getting wet stuff on the red stuff', we use a line of guys from the pond to the house, passing buckets to each other. Our horse-drawn steam pump is out of service.

Patrols get radios. "Lucky" if you get a digital trunked system.

Dispatch varies base to base. I remember a motorola computer phone system and computer radio system. State owned NCIC terminal. Also a big plotting board with markers and acrylic overlays with markers/grease pencils. The AF (at least on the security forces side) has been playing for a while now with computer maps that could "talk" with the fire depts so we could see what they see when they set up incident command.
