My agency has a squad vehicle that has Whelen 508 series strobe lights on the sides of it. We are looking to replace those with something that is LEDs. We looked into the 700 series SuperLED but it is not large enough to cover the mounting holes from the 508. The 900 is too larger, we are dealing with an area that is about 6" tall by 9" wide.

Does anyone have any idea? We are not stuck on Whelen, we will use anything that is bright and will fit.

How about the FedSig 9X7 Quadraflare?

Have you looked at the Whelen M9 Series LED's yet...

The install guide shows the side to side dimensions for mounting that would easily cover the holes left by the 508 series. It doesn't give the height dimension, but I believe it will cover the 508 holes, and might fit your mounting space better as it is not quite as tall as the 900 Series LED's.

A Whelen 600 Series with flange and gasket will cover the holes.

+1 We have 508s on our heavy rescue and I would venture to say that a 600 would be almost a direct size match.

I have done both the 600 Series with the flange and the 700 with the flange. Both work to cover the existing holes. The M9, will cover the entire surface area and is a bit smaller than the 900.
