Whelen Cen Com types

Okay so this may sound stupid to some, but what are the different types of CenComs? I have the gold in my truck, just curious what the others have to offer.

The older verson of the cencom gold was called cencom red

Whelen makes a Cencom Gray also. It's been discussed in a couple of threads already:

In the early days there was the CenCom red and CenCom Gold Version 1.


Today there is the CenCom Gold Version 2 (has mechanical tone and some other new stuff) and the CenCom Gray as some others have mentioned.

As stated above, the Cencom Gold Version 2 has the mechanical tone. I'm not sure if you can update it though.


Whelen also makes the new Cencom Saphire which has several new options.

should say it on it, if i recall correctly...... red models had the red keypad, gold had gold
