Hi guys,

I've been playing with my newly bought Cencom Gold siren. I tested all buttons what they do, I also succsessfully tried to reprogram the unit.
My question is what is the control lamp on the keypad I marked with a red circle on the attached photo? It never lights up on my keypad.

Thanks guys! I'll be watching it during reprogramming.

Funny thing, I asked the same John Kuzminski from Whelen, who replied:
"That marks the "off" position on the control head."

My next question to him:
On mine it doesnt light up when the slide switch is in off position. Should it light up?

And his reply:
"No. It is is a dead light."

Who is right?

I know for a fact when my car battery was dead the light came on indicating that there wasn't enough power to turn it on with the ignition.

So I tested the keypad and what's the result:
The "light" marked in the picture I attached doesn't lights up. It is like Whelen guy said.
There is another control light nearer the slide switch (something like "0" position although it is not marked like that) and this light lights up during communication with Cencom Software (extracting and uploading the program). It is likely the "error" control also because it lighted up when the keypad plug connecting it with the brain was not correctly plugged.
This is like hawkspringsfire said.

Thanks for the input guys!
